As a senator, Barack Obama led the charge last year to pass a bill allowing black farmers to seek new discrimination claims against the Agriculture Department. Now he is president, and his administration so far is acting like it wants the potentially budget-busting lawsuits to go away.
I would recount the ways that this story is so messed up, but I cannot begin to count the ways. So, I'll address the one find most offensive.
The fact that there exists an organization called the National Black Farmers Association I find completely racist and offensive. How can this still be happening in the U.S.?
